34 Weeks

Another 2 weeks has passed by again! (Actually almost 3) I am still feeling great! I thought by this point I would be miserable but I am not! Other than my energy level starting to slow down a little, life is great in the pregnancy world!

Its hard to believe we celebrated our last Christmas as a family of TWO! But we know next year will be the best Christmas ever!

Here is a picture that Nic and I took of my belly on Christmas morning! Our best gift yet!

And here a picture of the Daddy to be putting together the stroller! We are so excited! 

We go back to the doctor next week for an ultra sound! We cant wait to see what she is weighing! I think she is going to be small but we will see soon!!!!

32 Weeks

WOW. 32 weeks. 8 months PREGNANT!!! So many feelings going through my head as the weeks get closer to us welcoming our very own first baby!! We find ourselves talking more and more about her. What she will be like, who she will look like, what kind of parents we should be, our fears, and of course what we are looking forward to! 


Our nursery is still....well no where near being finished. If you know me this is not like me. Especially since this is our first baby! Yes, I know she will not be sleeping in her room at first but I want to have everything perfect when "D" day comes! (Which I hope is no time soon! I want a healthy full term baby!!) My Dad is not finished with our changing table or dresser so we are on hold right now! But thats ok, I wouldn't trade him making it for anything in the world! (Even my nursery not being done when she gets here ha) But lets hope this doesn't happen!

We also had another WONDERFUL baby shower with our family in Lincoln County! They gave us a ton of sweet gifts for Mia! I will post pictures from the shower soon! (Actually I think I need to post pictures from both showers ha) I try to stay up on the blog...but from what people are telling me I am falling behind ha!

28 Weeks(THIRD Trimester!!)

I am a little late posting this...but o well! 
28 Weeks is not much different so far. I am still feeling great. Of course I have the normal back pain, random bathroom trips, and having a harder time sleeping. But that is all normal things....so I consider myself blessed! We go to the doctor Thursday for an ultra sound and sugar test! I will post about that!


We also had our first baby shower!!! Which was so much fun! And looked like it was out of a magazine! I will post pics asap!


Can you tell a difference??? My belly has really just popped out these past few weeks. So I am showing you my pic just 8 weeks ago.

24 Weeks

Here is my 24 week picture... 

This week Nic finally got to feel little Mia kick or punch or something! She is so active when I sit down! I say she gets that from her Momma....Since I can never sit still ha! We have also started to see my belly move when she moves! Such an amazing miracle! So we have had a very exciting 24 week mark!! 

And Mia got to tag along to her first UT game! Even though we lost against GA it was still fun! Thanks to my friend Holly for taking us!! 

I have a DR. apt Thursday! 

22 Weeks

Wow its already been another 2 weeks! Everything seems to be going great still!!!


Not sure if you can notice or not but I fail yesterday off my friends stairs at her house straight down onto my face. IF my chin scars Im going to tell Mia I was trying to save her ha!!  Mia is one strong little girl though...even if her momma cant walk ha!

I think my belly has moved up since 20 weeks!!! (I realize I look horrible in this pic but o well its for memories)

20 weeks! HALF WAY!!!

I am so excited to be doing my 20 week post!! Such a great feeling to know we are half way to meeting our sweet little girl! 


I am definitely starting to show! I love having a growing belly. I know its showing I had one little boy in my class say "Mrs. Barnes why does your belly keep getting bigger??!!" and I had a little girl in the hall way say "Mrs. Barnes do you have a baby in your stomach?" haha! Got to love kids they say the cutest things!


I am feeling her move a lot now! I love it and try to make her move when she doesn't but of course it doesn't work! Pregnancy has been amazing gift to me!!

We took the first picture in the morning then got my new stickers and had to take another picture with the sticker ha! Looks like my belly had grown just during the day. I have heard people say this so Im guessing its true!! 

18.5 Weeks

I can not believe that I am 18 almost 19 weeks! It has seemed to fly by so far! I am still feeling great! This pregnancy thing seems to be pretty great compared to what a lot of women go through! I am still walking or doing my pregnancy dvd! I am loving being pregnant! 
O and of course the highlight of my week is starting to feel flutters! It is so amazing that I can feel her moving! Cant wait for a big kick so Nic can start feeling her!

It's A.....

We had our gender revealing party last Friday night! I know I am way behind on posting! We were so happy to have most of our family to share in the joy! Here are a few pictures from the party! The only thing I didn't get was a pic of the people wearing blue or pink!

We are so excited! We didn't care either way what it was. After having a miscarriage we realized that every baby is a gift from God boy or girl! We are just glad she looked healthy! 

14 Weeks....Way Late

I am getting horrible at posting pictures. Here is me when I was 14 weeks.....the sad thing is I am so late I will be taking my 16 week picture on Thursday!! But o well!!! 

I still feel wonderful!!! Pregnancy has not been near as bad as it sounded. But Im sure the bigger I get it will be hard. I think that by me walking and swimming is helping me still feel great! In 11 more days we will hopefully find out what Baby Barnes is!!! I can not wait! Even though we both really don't care! It will just be fun to actually start naming the baby and picking stuff out! 

14 Week Picture

12 Weeks!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!

I have had the 12 week marked in my calendar and was so excited to make it! Praise the Lord.

But I have a moment of honesty I must share....The past few weeks have been hard, I have been nervous, scared, you name it. I was reading a blog tonight and this women is also pregnant and has went through fertility problems. She was also having negative thoughts and fears. And said take it away!!!! Well what powerful words for me....Take it AWAY God!!! I am going to stop worrying about this baby that God has given us! HE is in control of this pregnancy and I know this is His child, so why am I worrying?? I am so thankful for being able to read these words of encouragment to apply this to my life!!
Please PRAY that I will continue to push these thoughts and Satin away because God is the one that needs my praises and glory right now!!

I am doing and feeling great!! I have been walking 2 miles about 5 days a week. I really think this is helping keep my weight down and me feeling good! Please continue to pray for us and the baby! I go to the doctor on Monday!! I can't wait to hear the heart beating again!!

My belly is not really grown any since 10 week picture. My pants are getting very tight though. I have never been so happy for my pants to be tight in my life ha! Thanks for all your prayers!

10 weeks

I am a little late posting this...but we have been at the beach!!!

Last Thursday marked 10 weeks. Praise the Lord! So by the time I get this post up it will be time for 11 weeks. But o well.
Yesterday I went to the doctor (my mom got to go with me since Nic had to work!) Everything is looking wonderful. I could actually tell it was a baby! So amazing! I feel so blessed to be carrying this child!

Here is 10 week picture.(at the beach!!!) Yes I feel like my belly is starting to show a little. It looks bigger in this picture than it really is ha! Madison just told me I can see your baby ha! But I am so glad its rounding out, reminds me that there is a healthy baby!!!


We have a strong heart beat....182!!! Yes I know its high, and by the old wise tale its probably a GIRL! That's my guess anyways!! But praise the Lord its a strong heart beat! And if it really is a girl I cant wait...

I go back to the doctor in 2 weeks. They will continue to see my every 2 weeks until after 12 weeks. I am so thankful they are watching me so close, it helps with my worries!

Is this REALLY a POSITIVE test????

Of course, everyone knew that we were trying. After miscarrying our twins, we felt that God was using that to witness to others. I never once thought that we didn't need to try again. And its amazing that since we tried how God so FASTLY blessed us with another baby.
We truly gave it to God. Besides this was his child anyways. We are just chosen to raise it up in the Lord.

We had planned to go to the lake with Nic's family on Memorial Day. I knew I was late and didn't want to try to ski if I was pregnant.
So....here I go into the DG to buy a prego test.(trying to not to let anyone I know see us) There was Aunt Donna and his cousin Brandon. (YES....its a small town ha) I was trying to sneak around the store and buy this test. We then stoped at Jeff's Market(a gas station) where I had my first POSITIVE test!!!! Thank you Lord!

I walked back out trying not to cry, scream, or laugh....since his family was out there getting gas too! We left the gas station with Addie(our niece). I started crying...over filled with emotions. I was scared, happy, blessed, excited, you name it. Addie started wondering what I was holding. She wanted to hold it...ha! We told her it was a tooth brush! This day was just the beginning of a blessing from God that I cant wait to continue to share about!!!!

Thank you all  for your prayers!!! They are what has helped us to get to this point!

SUPRISE!!! Nic and I are going to have a baby!!! I have so much to share about our experience of getting pregnant again!! God is truely amazing! We are so excited that God has given us another chance at having a baby!

Praising God in the Storm

Well Im sure all of you already know that we lost our twins on April 1st. We know that God has a very special plan for two very sweet babies. We are completly trusting in God and know that he has a plan. Please continue to keep our blog on your favorites ha! We know that God will bless us with a child when its HIS time.

I am going to try to document our life until the day comes that we are pregnant again!!! But no promises...

Please continue to pray for Nic and I that Gods will would be done in our life!!! Thank you all for ALL the support and prayers over the last few weeks. We love yall!

Just an Update...

I went to the doctor on Monday and BB's heart was just beating away!! I love seeing that, since I have hardly any symptoms this reminds me that I am pregnant! I will be going this Monday for my first apt with Dr. Child's. He will deliver the baby in Chatt. I have heard A LOT of great things about him and I feel comfortable going to him!

This is a picture of the first ultra sound that I had... I was probably around 5 weeks. You can hardly see anything even zoomed in!!

This is the baby now its not even zoomed in! I am just amazed how much the "little black circle" has grown in just a few weeks. God is so amazing that this is growing in my belly and I don't even feel it!!

Praise the LORD!!!

WOW!! God is truly teaching me trust these days. Some of you may not know but on Monday I went for my ultra sound. I am a week behind what they thought, which is normal. She said I ovulated a little later than most women. I laughed and said yea I guess that's how we got prego ha! (since we weren't "trying" just yet) Then I got home from the doc to receive a phone call to tell me my progesterone level had dropped from 40 to 16. My heart was broke. First thing I did was prayed....and I know God answered our prayers. My level today is back up to 40....which is pretty much as high as it can go! PRAISE THE LORD!! I go back on Monday for another ultra sound since I was only 6 weeks at my last one!

I feel that I have grown so much closer to God and I am blessed! Although at the time I was scared to death, I thank him for the chance to grow!

GO BIG ORANGE

Well today marked 7 weeks and the baby's first Tennessee Game! We had such a great time and it was a wonderful game but we didn't win.

These are some of our pics from the game...My friend Holly gave us tickets! And we had really good seats!


Most important tomorrow is our first ultra sound and we will hopefully get to hear the heart beat and I think it will actually be real that we are pregnant!!We cant wait! I'll post pics asap! Please pray for a healthy heart beat!

Funny Faces

We made our pregnancy "public" on Sunday. I just love watching people's faces when I tell them I'm pregnant!! I love the way there eyes automatically look down at my belly. Ha. I sure hope they don't see anything yet, I guess its just natural to check and see if its showing yet!

And So far So GOOD!! I really don't feel prego at all besides a few small symptoms. I pray I continue to feel great and slide by with out sickness. I guess well wait and see! We are looking forward to Monday, its our first ultra-sound!!!!! God is just amazing, please pray everything will look normal and healthy!

We are EXPECTING

We are so excited to announce that we are going to have a wonderful little buddle of joy in Octber! I had always said that I would create a blog when we became pregnant...so here I am! I hope that this helps keep our family that is out of town and our family that lives here up to date as our life changes. I have had so many emotions going through my head. I just almost can't believe we are having a baby. It is truely an amazing miracle of our Lord. It makes me just speechless. Well it actually makes me say at least once a day "Hey baby can you believe Im pregnant!!! I can't wait to exprience the next 35 weeks and I hope to document as much as possible so you can laugh and cry with me!! (or at me)

We thought of very special ways to tell both of our parents. We had different poems for both of my parents to read. I loved the poems and they were very special! My moms was a very sweet poem and my dads had to do with our baby bed that he is making. (I have been looking forward to him doing this since I have been married)

 We had went to the mountains with Nic's parents and Nana the weekend before I found out. I took some skiing pictures and put them in an album..this was the last picture. We taught Nic's dad how to ski little did I know that I was pregnant! ha! 

We loved the way both turned out they were very excited!! And are going to be great g.parents
